Waldviertler Loafers are carefully crafted by hand and made to last. In case of damage, however, you can always send your pair back to Schrems for repairs

Heini Staudinger, the figure behind GEA Waldviertler has been successfully battling a Europe-wide trend towards shifting production overseas. GEA's manufacturing facility has been making footwear (and furniture) for over 40 years and remained in the town since its foundation. Schrems is close to the Czech-Austrian border, the land of ancient forests known for its castles and breweries. Every item is made to last its owner a lifetime and can always be sent back for repairs.

Waldviertler Loafers are designed and handmade by the renowned Austrian shoemaker Heini Staudinger, who has designed footwear for over 30 years.

something called GEA Akademie, a regular curriculum of workshops in arts and crafts, music, dancing and
photography, open to all and sundry in the region.
