There is an etiquette governing how to eat bread rolls at a British royal wedding: you must break them with your fingers, never cut them with a knife. Still, bread and blade are inseparable, which lead us to Barcelona-based Florentine Kitchen Knives. Founded by Israeli industrial designer Tomer Botner, whose love of knives traces back to a childhood hunting knife brought home from Toledo, Florentine makes utensils for professional chefs and hobbyists alike. For RYE, Botner stripped his signature style back to its essentials: French oak and Swedish stainless steel.
